The airstrikes struck several homes in the densely populated camp, causing widespread destruction and civilian casualties. Emergency response teams have been overwhelmed as they work to rescue those trapped under the rubble.

The Israeli military has been conducting airstrikes across the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, as part of an ongoing military campaign. According to Palestinian health officials, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 42,500 people and left more than 99,500 injured, with children and women making up a significant portion of the casualties.
