In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Celik described Katz as a figure who glorifies genocide and brutality, equating him to a Nazi and murderer. "Katz is an executor of crimes against humanity," Celik stated, accusing him of boasting about the ongoing killing of innocent civilians in Palestine.
Celik further highlighted that Katz and his allies have targeted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, not because of their disagreements, but because Erdogan stands as a strong defender of human dignity and justice. "Katz and those like him attack our President Erdogan because he fights for human values and speaks out against the atrocities committed in Gaza," Celik remarked.
The AK Party spokesperson also praised the Palestinian resistance, calling it the "peak of human dignity" in the face of Israeli aggression. "The resistance in Gaza stands as a powerful symbol of human dignity and will undoubtedly triumph over the barbarism of Katz and his genocidal network," Celik emphasized, adding that those responsible for the crimes in Gaza will face justice.
Celik’s condemnation comes as Israel continues its devastating assault on Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of over 42,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, since the beginning of the offensive in October last year. The relentless bombardment has displaced nearly the entire population of Gaza, while the ongoing blockade has led to severe shortages of essential supplies, including food, water, and medicine.
As the Israeli government faces international scrutiny and a genocide case at the International Court of Justice, global support for the Palestinian cause continues to grow, with calls for justice and an end to the genocidal aggression growing louder by the day. (ILKHA)
