During this visit, Fidan will meet with his Greek counterpart, Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, to discuss key bilateral issues, including the demarcation of the exclusive economic zone.

Last week, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed optimism about improving relations between Turkey and Greece.

He noted that the upcoming meeting between Gerapetritis and Fidan aims to address pressing matters such as maritime zones and airspace.

Gerapetritis also highlighted that both foreign ministers have been tasked with assessing whether conditions are favorable for initiating discussions on the delimitation of the continental shelf and economic zone.

This meeting marks a significant step in ongoing diplomatic efforts to enhance cooperation between the two neighboring countries. (ILKHA)
