The campaign, which targets approximately 590,000 children under the age of 10, will take place over the next two weeks, starting in the central areas of the Gaza Strip.

In addition to the polio vaccine, children aged 2 to 10 will receive a dose of Vitamin A to enhance their immunity, improve eyesight, and promote healthy growth.

Despite the ongoing bombardment of central Gaza Strip areas, Palestinian families have gathered in significant numbers at health centers to ensure their children receive the vaccinations. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving UNRWA, the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and local health authorities in Gaza.

The vaccination campaign highlights the commitment of these organizations to protect the health of children in Gaza during these challenging times. (ILKHA)
