Integrated dairies collected a total of 934,396 tonnes of milk in August, representing a 13.5% increase from the previous year. This figure also marks a 9.3% growth for the January-August period.
The production of various dairy products also saw positive trends. Cheese production from cow's milk increased by 8.7% in August and by 5.5% for the January-August period. Drink made of yoghurt (ayran) production rose by 10.5% in August and by 13.5% for the January-August period. Yoghurt production experienced a slight decline of 0.6% in August but increased by 8.0% for the January-August period. Drinking milk production rose by 9.7% in August and by 3.5% for the January-August period. Butter production saw the most significant growth, increasing by 20.2% in August and by 11.7% for the January-August period.
While the total milk collected by dairies decreased slightly by 0.4% from the previous month, the production of drinking milk saw a notable increase of 17.0% in August. (ILKHA)
