According to Gaza’s Civil Defense, at least 20 people, including women and children, were killed, and more than 30 others were injured following Israeli shelling of a residential area near the al-Omari Mosque in Jabalia al-Balad. Civil Defense reports indicate that 14 individuals remain missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings.

The occupation forces also carried out bombing strikes near the Fishara area in Jabalia camp, resulting in the deaths of two Palestinians.

Since dawn on Friday, Israeli airstrikes and shelling have claimed the lives of over 50 Palestinians, with 20 of the deaths reported in Jabalia, according to Palestinian media.

In a series of airstrikes, an Israeli strike targeted a group of civilians near the Daloul station in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, south of Gaza City. The vicinity of Abu Sharia’s office in the Sabra neighborhood was also shelled, while an Israeli drone bombed the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

As the conflict continues to escalate, the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains dire, with mounting civilian casualties and widespread destruction. (ILKHA)
