Araghchi landed at Beirut International Airport, accompanied by two members of parliament and the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, as part of a delegation set to meet with high-ranking Lebanese officials. The visit comes amid heightened regional tensions.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, confirmed the arrival via a post on his X account, adding that the delegation would present a humanitarian aid shipment containing 10 tons of food and medicine to Lebanon.

"Iran remains steadfast in its solidarity with the brave people of Lebanon. The entire region should understand the serious situation Lebanon is facing and its consequences for the future of our nations," Baghaei said in the statement.

Araghchi is expected to hold meetings with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri during his visit.

Upon his arrival, the Iranian foreign minister also visited the Iranian Embassy in Beirut, where he met with the charge d'affaires to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon. (ILKHA)
