In a statement on the inflation data released by TurkStat, Minister Şimşek noted that while core goods inflation remains relatively low at 28.3% year-on-year, the decline in services inflation is slower due to rigidities caused by backward-looking pricing behaviors. He highlighted that the disinflation process, which began in June, continues to progress.

Şimşek expressed optimism for the future, stating: "This period will be followed by a stabilization phase starting in the second half of next year, during which we will achieve a permanent decline in inflation and reach single digits."

He emphasized the government's commitment to implementing policies aimed at price stability, asserting that reducing inflation will not only alleviate the cost of living but also enhance the overall welfare of Turkish citizens. (ILKHA)
