In the Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, five civilians lost their lives in an airstrike that hit a house belonging to the Darwish family. In the central Gaza Strip, two more civilians, including a child, were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed homes in the Al-Nuseirat camp, targeting properties in Abu Mahadi land and the Abu Khousa family’s residence.
Additionally, a number of civilians were injured when Israeli artillery shelled a school east of Al-Maghazi camp, which had been serving as a shelter for displaced persons.
Israeli forces also carried out airstrikes in several neighborhoods of Gaza City, including Al-Zeitoun, Al-Sabra, and Tal Al-Hawa, further escalating the destruction and civilian toll.
Since the start of the military offensive on October 7, Israeli airstrikes and shelling have resulted in the deaths of 41,689 civilians, with 96,625 others injured. Many of the casualties are reported to be children and women. The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate as the conflict rages on. (ILKHA)
