Accompanied by a delegation from his party's Provincial Women's Branch and district presidents from Şişli and Eyüpsultan, Aslan took the opportunity to engage with the elderly residents, many of whom create handmade products at the rehabilitation center.
Speaking to reporters after the visit, Aslan emphasized the importance of honoring elders in Turkish society. "Our elders are our values," he declared. "We are a civilization that respects the elderly and shows compassion to the young. Serving them brings blessings to our lives."
Aslan underscored HÜDA PAR's commitment to supporting the elderly beyond a single day of recognition. "They are not just our elders, they are our wise ones," he stated. "We learn from their experiences, which guide our path forward. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that respecting their wisdom paves the way for our future. We cannot build a strong society without cherishing our roots and learning from their experiences."
He concluded by highlighting the enduring value of the elderly. "They may have grown weary physically, but their spirits are enriched by experience. We must treasure them. Their presence brings abundance, peace, and a sense of belonging."
HUDA PAR's outreach program serves as a reminder of the vital role elders play in Turkish society and the importance of ensuring their well-being and respecting their contributions. (ILKHA)
