In a statement released on Monday, the office confirmed the latest victim as Wafa Aludaini, a journalist who worked with several English-language media outlets. No further details were provided about the circumstances surrounding her death.

The media office condemned the Israeli government’s actions and urged the international community to hold Israel accountable for "crimes against journalists."

Israel’s continued offensive on Gaza follows a surprise attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023. Despite a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire, Israeli airstrikes have persisted. The ongoing aggression has claimed nearly 41,600 lives, mostly women and children, and left over 96,200 others injured, according to local health authorities.

The conflict has also displaced nearly the entire population of Gaza, with the territory suffering from severe shortages of essential supplies like food, clean water, and medicine due to an ongoing blockade. Israel is currently facing accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza. (ILKHA)
