The attack, which targeted a densely populated area during a peak time of civilian activity, resulted in significant casualties. The airstrike hit an apartment in a residential building, causing widespread destruction and panic. Local media confirmed that an Israeli F-35 warplane was responsible for the attack, firing two missiles at the apartment.

Ambulances, Red Cross units, and fire brigades quickly responded to the scene, with civil defense teams working to rescue victims, including children, from the rubble. The Lebanese army also deployed personnel to the area.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense stated that specialized search and rescue teams were dispatched from multiple centers to assist in the recovery of missing persons trapped under the collapsed buildings. The extent of the damage and the ongoing rescue efforts have been documented on social media by activists sharing images and videos of the destruction. (ILKHA)
