While acknowledging the ongoing humanitarian crisis, he accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of committing widespread atrocities.

Al-Burhan expressed gratitude for the U.S. government's support and concern for the suffering of the Sudanese people. He highlighted the RSF's attacks in El Fasher, Darfur, as just one example of their broader atrocities across the country.

Calling for international accountability for the states supporting the RSF, Al-Burhan expressed his willingness to collaborate with global partners to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

In conjunction with the UN General Assembly, the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, announced plans for several events focused on the Sudan crisis. She emphasized the importance of these events in facilitating dialogue among the involved parties and advancing peace in the region. (ILKHA)
