Türk stated that resolving the nearly year-long conflict in Gaza must be a priority, urging nations to take concrete actions in response to Israel’s blatant disregard for international law in the occupied Palestinian territories.

“States must not and cannot accept blatant disregard for international law, including binding Security Council resolutions and International Court of Justice orders,” Türk declared.

He referred to the UN International Court of Justice's opinion issued in July, which deemed Israel’s occupation illegal and called for comprehensive measures to address the situation. Despite the court's ruling, Israel has rejected the opinion.

Türk’s remarks underscored the growing international concern over Israel’s actions in Gaza, calling for an immediate resolution to the ongoing humanitarian crisis. (ILKHA)
