According to a statement from spokesperson Brigadier-General Yahya Saree, the ship was hit with multiple missiles and drones, resulting in a direct hit. The operation involved Yemen's missile forces, naval forces, and drone units, marking a coordinated effort in response to what the Yemeni military describes as violations by the vessel's owner.

Brigadier-General Saree stated that the attack was a reaction to the ship owner's breach of a ban on entering ports in occupied Palestine. The Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their warning to all companies conducting business with Israel, stating that any ships passing through their declared operational area would be targeted, irrespective of their destination.

"The operations of the Yemeni Armed Forces are in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their resistance until the aggression ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted," Saree emphasized. He also highlighted that the Yemeni military remains committed to carrying out further operations in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

The leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, also spoke out against the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank. In his weekly address, al-Houthi condemned what he described as Israel's efforts to reshape the situation in Palestine under the protection of the United States. He criticized the severe conditions imposed on Palestinians in Gaza, accusing Israel of targeting civilian areas, including cities, camps, and hospitals.

Al-Houthi also warned against recent Israeli plans to build a Jewish synagogue within the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, calling it a provocation that should be met with resistance by Muslims worldwide. He argued that remaining silent in the face of such actions would be seen as a sign of submission and abandonment of faith.

In addition to the strike on BLUE LAGOON I, al-Houthi revealed that Yemeni naval forces carried out a significant operation against the vessel Sounion. He stated that Yemeni forces boarded the ship, rigged it with explosives, and successfully destroyed its cargo, further demonstrating Yemen's commitment to supporting the Palestinian resistance.

This escalation underscores the Yemeni Armed Forces' increasing involvement in the broader regional conflict, aligning their military actions with the Palestinian struggle amid the ongoing violence in Gaza and the West Bank. (ILKHA)
