During an online discussion focused on Gaza's health crisis, Ryan detailed the challenges these hospitals face, including physical damage, fuel shortages, limited medical supplies, and a shortage of medical staff. The situation has led to a significant strain on healthcare services, severely affecting the region's ability to provide adequate care.

Ryan also reported that the WHO has documented 1,098 attacks on healthcare facilities in the occupied Palestinian territories from October 7, 2023, to August 22, 2024. Of these, 492 attacks occurred in Gaza, resulting in 747 deaths and 969 injuries.

The ongoing destruction has severely compromised Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis and leaving the population with limited access to essential medical services. (ILKHA)
