The Israeli military's large-scale aggression in the West Bank camp also resulted in the deaths of four of Abu Shujaa's comrades.

On Wednesday evening, Israeli occupation forces launched a major offensive against the Nur Shams refugee camp in the West Bank, targeting key figures in the Palestinian Resistance. The operation, which involved dozens of military vehicles and bulldozers, marked the largest aggression against the West Bank since 2002.

Mohammad Jaber, widely known by his nom de guerre, Abu Shujaa, was the commander of the Tulkarm Brigade in the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement. He and his comrades resisted the Israeli forces for several hours after being surrounded in a building within the camp.

According to local sources, the Israeli occupation forces deployed extensive firepower, including firing an Energia rocket at the besieged building. Despite the heavy assault, Abu Shujaa and his companions continued to engage in fierce combat until they were ultimately killed.

The operation in Nur Shams is part of a broader and intensified Israeli aggression across the West Bank. The latest aggression represents the most significant military action in the area in over two decades, further escalating tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The death of Abu Shujaa is a significant blow to the Palestinian Resistance in the West Bank, particularly within the Al-Quds Brigades. However, the steadfastness displayed by Abu Shujaa and his fellow fighters during the confrontation underscores the ongoing and resilient resistance against the Israeli occupation.

The incident has drawn attention to the escalating violence in the West Bank, with concerns mounting over the humanitarian impact of the Israeli aggression in densely populated refugee camps. The situation remains highly volatile, with further confrontations expected in the aftermath of this latest escalation. (ILKHA)
