Civilian casualties mount as Israeli forces target Gaza City and refugee camp

Several civilians were killed and others injured on Monday night following Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City and the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, local sources have reported.

Israeli warplanes targeted a residential apartment in the Maghazi camp, leading to the deaths of three civilians, including a child, and injuring several others. Civil defense crews recovered three bodies and multiple wounded individuals from the rubble of a residential apartment belonging to the Na’san family on Yermouk Street in Gaza City after it was struck by Israeli bombs.

In another incident, an Israeli air raid targeted the Zino family home on Yaffa Street in the Tuffah neighborhood, located east of Gaza City, resulting in additional casualties. The exact number of fatalities and injuries from this attack has not yet been confirmed.

Since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the death toll has risen to 40,435 civilians, with 93,534 others injured, according to local sources. Thousands of people remain missing amidst ongoing land, sea, and air assaults on the region. (ILKHA)
