This milestone marks a significant point in the extensive support provided by the United States to Israel during the conflict.
According to a statement from the Israeli military, "Last week witnessed the landing of the 500th supply plane in Israel as part of a large-scale air bridge of U.S. military equipment and weapons for Israel." The transportation operation, which commenced with the outbreak of the war, has resulted in the delivery of over 50,000 tons of military equipment through 500 flights and 107 sea shipments.
The military equipment delivered includes a range of essential assets such as armored vehicles, weapons, ammunition, personal protection gear, and medical supplies, according to the Israeli army’s elaboration.
The "state of Israel" has been a major recipient of U.S. aid since its establishment in 1948, receiving more support than any other country. In the wake of the Gaza conflict, U.S. President Joe Biden requested that Congress approve an additional $95 billion spending bill, of which $14 billion is allocated for Israel. (ILKHA)
