In a telephone conversation with his Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani, on Sunday night, Araghchi emphasized that Iran's response to the Israeli "terrorist attack" would be both "measured and calculated."

"We do not fear escalation, yet do not seek it—unlike Israel," Araghchi stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter), summarizing his discussion with Tajani. He also expressed satisfaction with receiving a congratulatory call from the Italian Foreign Minister and mentioned that their extensive conversation centered on regional issues.

Araghchi has received several congratulatory messages from foreign ministers of various countries, including Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, over the past two days. (ILKHA)
