Highlighting Israel's continued aggression on Gaza, Erdoğan condemned the violence and reaffirmed Türkiye's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause.
“By hosting President of Palestine, Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, in Türkiye, we have once again demonstrated our unwavering support for the Palestinian cause,” Erdoğan stated. He emphasized the global attention drawn by Abbas’s recent address to the Turkish Parliament, signaling strong international concern over the situation.
Despite Israel's sustained military campaign in Gaza, which has persisted for over ten months, Erdoğan asserted that Israel has been unable to crush the Palestinian people's determination to resist. “Despite all its barbarity and brutality, and although it has been wreaking terror in Gaza for 10 months, Israel has been unable to break the Palestinian people’s determination to resist,” Erdoğan remarked.
Erdoğan expressed solidarity with the Palestinians, commending their resilience and courage in defending their homeland. “We once again greet with respect the Palestinian people who are defending their lands heroically, and we wholeheartedly believe that our Palestinian brothers and sisters, sooner or later, will be victorious,” he declared, adding a prayer for the Palestinian people: “May Allah help our Palestinian brothers and sisters.”
The Turkish president's comments come amid escalating tensions in Gaza, with Türkiye positioning itself as a vocal critic of Israeli aggression and a staunch supporter of Palestinian rights on the international stage. (ILKHA)
