In an official statement, HAMAS accused Israeli soldiers of attacking the Beni Saleh Mosque, desecrating the religious site, and destroying its contents, including sacred texts.
The movement highlighted these actions as indicative of the extremist nature of the Zionist entity, which it notes is driven by hatred and cruelty towards the Islamic ummah.
The statement also suggested that these incidents were not isolated but part of a broader, systematic policy by Israeli occupation government, aimed at perpetuating a genocidal war against the Palestinian people and their way of life in Gaza.
HAMAS called on the international community, particularly Islamic countries and organizations, to condemn these actions and to take a stand in defense of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Palestine. The movement urged the Islamic world to support the Palestinian resistance in its efforts to defend their land and religious sanctities, especially the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is considered one of the holiest sites in Islam.
The group also called for an end to the ongoing genocide against the people of Gaza and demanded international action to protect the civilian population from further violence. (ILKHA)
