In a statement on X, Şimşek stated that sectoral field inspections are underway to eliminate unfair competition and reduce tax losses.

One significant step in this campaign was a series of simultaneous inspections conducted yesterday across 26 locations of 23 companies involved in the cigarette and cigarette paper industry in eight provinces.

This coordinated effort is part of a broader strategy to address the informal economy and promote a fair business environment in Türkiye.

Minister Şimşek emphasized the government's unwavering commitment to tackling this issue, stating that stringent measures will continue to be implemented to safeguard the nation's economic integrity. (ILKHA)
