Speaking during a campaign event in Constantine on the fourth day of his presidential campaign, Tebboune emphasized Algeria's unwavering support for Palestine. "We will never abandon Palestine, especially Gaza," he declared. “I swear to God if they allow us and open the borders between Egypt and Gaza… then there is something we can do.”

Tebboune, who is running for re-election in the upcoming presidential elections on September 7, promised immediate action. "I made a promise and the army is ready as soon as the borders are opened and our trucks are allowed to enter," he said. The president outlined a plan to build three hospitals, deploy hundreds of doctors, and assist in the reconstruction of areas damaged by the ongoing conflict within 20 days of the border opening.

The Algerian leader has consistently voiced strong support for the Palestinian cause, describing it as a sacred duty for his country. His statements reflect Algeria’s ongoing commitment to the Palestinian people amid the current crisis in Gaza. (ILKHA)
