The operation, which began shortly after midnight, triggered sirens across the northern front and caused dozens of explosions, despite the Israeli occupation forces being on high alert. Local sources in southern Lebanon reported that multiple missiles were fired towards western al-Jalil, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, releasing a statement confirming that the operation targeted the new headquarters of the Israeli military's 146th Division in Ga'aton, northern Israel, with a barrage of Katyusha missiles. The group emphasized that this attack was a direct retaliation for the Israeli occupation's aggression against southern Lebanon, particularly the town of Maaroub, where several casualties were reported.

This marked the first major Hezbollah operation on August 12, signaling a potential intensification of hostilities along the Lebanon-Israel border. (ILKHA)
