According to Ukrainian intelligence, a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber was destroyed, and an ammunition depot containing glide bombs was obliterated in the strike on August 3.
Satellite imagery confirms the extent of the damage, with large craters and burned-out areas visible at the airfield. In addition to the destroyed fighter jet, two other Su-34s were likely damaged by the blast. The attack also caused substantial damage to airfield infrastructure, including hangars and technical buildings.
This marks the second time Morozovsk airbase has been targeted by Ukraine. A previous attack in April reportedly destroyed six warplanes.
These developments come on the heels of another Ukrainian victory: the sinking of a Russian Black Sea Fleet submarine and damage to an S-400 air defense system in Crimea. (ILKHA)
