“Supporting the cause of the oppressed Palestinian nation will continue with strength and nothing can disrupt our will and resolve on this issue," Pezeshkian stated. He made these remarks on Monday night during a meeting with Ziad al-Nakhalah, Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, who traveled to Iran for the presidential inauguration ceremony.
Pezeshkian emphasized that this meeting sends a strong message to those attempting to create a rift between Iran and resistance groups, particularly the Palestinian people. He reiterated that Iran's stance on supporting the oppressed and the cause of al-Quds's freedom would persist unchanged, despite any changes in government.
The president-elect also called for increased efforts to foster unity among Islamic countries and to intensify pressure on the Zionist regime to halt its crimes and killings in Gaza. He pledged that Iran would continue to diplomatically expose the crimes of the Zionist regime, aiming to rally support from all independent and freedom-loving nations worldwide, and assured that Iran would not abandon the Palestinian people in their struggle.
In response, al-Nakhalah expressed gratitude for Iran's unwavering support, noting that the Palestinian people would never forget it. He highlighted that Pezeshkian’s early engagement with Palestinian resistance leaders sends a significant message to the region and the world.
"The oppressed Palestinians in Gaza are today standing up against the atrocities of the regime and its backers in the region, and Iran's voice and stance have a crucial impact on maintaining their spirit of resistance and stability," al-Nakhalah stated. He further pointed out that despite the blockade on aid and essentials to Gaza, the Palestinian resistance continues to defy expectations. (ILKHA)
