In a press release, the Ministry confirmed that 24-year-old Bassam Hashash was gunned down by occupation soldiers, who also injured 22 others in the camp.

Local sources reported that this was the third raid into the camp by occupation forces today. During the raid, soldiers stationed snipers on rooftops while surveillance drones hovered overhead, leading to confrontations. The heavily armed soldiers fired live ammunition at local youths, killing Hashash with a shot to the chest.

Earlier today, Israeli forces killed 17-year-old Lo'ay Mohammad Masha and injured nine others, two critically, in a drone strike targeting a group of people in the camp.

According to Health Ministry statistics, these incidents bring the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 591, including 143 children.

Israeli occupation forces conduct frequent raids on Palestinian houses across the West Bank, often on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians. These operations, conducted without the need for search warrants, regularly lead to clashes with residents.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders hold full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over the 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank, who have no say in how this authority is exercised. (ILKHA)
