In a statement on X, Yapıcıoğlu thanked the parties for including HÜDA PAR's proposal to amend the Citizenship Law on the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
"Our motion to put our law proposal on the punishment of those who participated in the crime of genocide, loss of citizenship, and confiscation of their assets with transfer to the Family and Youth Fund, which we submitted to the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on December 28, 2023, with the number 2/1895, directly on the agenda of the General Assembly according to Article 37 of the Rules of Procedure, was accepted," Yapıcıoğlu stated.
Yapıcıoğlu specifically thanked the AK Party, MHP, Good Party, Felicity Party, Future Party, Deva Party, New Welfare Party, and MPs who supported the motion. He expressed hope that the bill would be discussed and enacted unanimously before the Parliament's upcoming recess. (ILKHA)
