The GMO warned that this blockade could lead to increased deaths from starvation, particularly among children.
Accusing the Israeli army of intensifying its policy of starvation across Gaza, especially in Gaza City and northern Gaza, the GMO cited closures of border crossings and attacks on food warehouses and production facilities.
"The Israeli occupation's exacerbation of famine in Gaza violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which guarantees the right to food as a basic human right, and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, which recognizes the right to be free from hunger," the GMO stated.
Blaming the Israeli occupation regime and the US administration, the GMO held them fully accountable for what it termed "the ongoing crime of starvation" against the Palestinian people as part of what it described as a genocidal war on Gaza.
The GMO called on the international community, the United Nations, and free countries worldwide to exert pressure on Israel and the US administration to immediately cease their actions and allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza through its border crossings. (ILKHA)
