Nearly half a million people in the Gaza Strip are experiencing catastrophic levels of hunger as a result of a deadly Israeli genocidal aggression on the enclave, the UN World Food Program (WFP) reported on Monday.

"Due to unreliable access and limited stocks, families often don’t receive the full rations and frequency they need," the WFP stated.

Early Monday, a six-year-old Palestinian boy succumbed to severe malnutrition caused by Israel’s crippling blockade on the Gaza Strip.

Israel, in defiance of a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire, continues its offensive on Gaza, which began on October 7. The international community has widely condemned Israel's actions.

According to the Palestinian health ministry, the ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of nearly 38,200 Palestinians, primarily women and children, and has left over 87,900 others injured. (ILKHA)
