The attacks resulted in the deaths of at least 55 civilians and left over 123 others injured, with many more feared trapped under rubble or lying injured on roads, according to the Gaza health ministry.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the health ministry detailed the extensive civilian casualties inflicted during the latest round of Israeli bombardments. It reported that 178 individuals, including 55 fatalities, were rushed to hospitals for treatment amidst ongoing attacks.

The Israeli genocidal aggression, which began on October 7 following a cross-border operation by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, have also resulted in 87,828 people being wounded, adding to the humanitarian crisis in the densely populated enclave.

The situation in Gaza has worsened significantly, with critical shortages of basic necessities such as food, fuel, water, and medical supplies exacerbated by the ongoing Israeli blockade and widespread destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

The Gaza Strip, home to 2.3 million residents, is reeling from the devastating consequences of the military escalation, with widespread displacement and dire humanitarian conditions impacting civilians across the region. (ILKHA)
