Antalya Airport breaks record with over 209,000 passengers in one day

Türkiye's Antalya Airport soared to new heights on Saturday, June 29th, recording the highest number of passengers and flights for 2024.

The announcement came from Türkiye's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, who highlighted the airport's impressive performance.

Antalya Airport witnessed a staggering 1,146 flight movements on the record-breaking day. International travel dominated the skies, with 1,019 flights taking off and landing, while domestic flights accounted for 127.

Passenger numbers mirrored the flight activity, with a total of 209,540 travelers passing through the airport. International travelers comprised the vast majority at 189,508, while domestic traffic saw 20,032 passengers.

Minister Uraloğlu emphasized the significance of this achievement, marking it as the peak passenger volume for the year so far. This surge in activity demonstrates Antalya Airport's growing importance as a major travel hub.
