His statement followed recent criticism from the White House over Netanyahu's complaints regarding arms deliveries related to the ongoing Gaza genocide.
"I am prepared to endure personal attacks if it means Israel receives the ammunition it needs from the US," Netanyahu stated in response to Washington's concerns.
Netanyahu’s remarks came after he released a video earlier this week accusing the US of withholding necessary weapons and ammunition from Israel. US officials responded by expressing disappointment and confusion, stating they were unaware of any such actions.
"We find these comments deeply disappointing and frustrating, given the substantial support we continue to provide," said National Security Council spokesman John Kirby during a press briefing on Thursday.
The tension escalated after reports that the US was reviewing a shipment of 2,000-pound bombs due to concerns about their potential impact on densely populated areas in Gaza.
Separately, Kirby announced that US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was scheduled to meet with Israeli counterparts Tzachi Hanegbi and Ron Dermer on Thursday to discuss the matter.
While the US remains Israel's primary military ally, the White House has expressed increasing concern over the rising civilian casualties resulting from the genocide in Gaza. (ILKHA)
