The attacks, which have also left at least 85,452 people injured, continue despite international calls for a ceasefire.

The Health Ministry's statement highlighted the severity of the situation, noting that Israeli forces killed 25 people and injured 80 others in three separate attacks on families within the last 24 hours. Rescuers are struggling to reach many individuals trapped under rubble and on the roads.

Since the genocide began on October 7, 2023, following the Operation Aqsa Flood, Israel has maintained a relentless offensive on Gaza. This comes despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in the enclave. The conflict has now entered its 256th day, leaving vast areas of Gaza in ruins and its population facing severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has accused Israel of “genocide” and has ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its operations in Rafah. Over a million Palestinians had sought refuge in Rafah before it was invaded on May 6. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen as the conflict drags on, with little sign of resolution.
