Turkish authorities announce major strides in combating crime and terrorism

Yerlikaya reported the dismantling of over 585 syndicates, resulting in the seizure of assets exceeding 106 billion liras.

He emphasized a decline in terrorism recruitment, with PKK attracting its lowest number of new members in recent history (only 56).

The Minister outlined extensive operations: over 31,000 missions conducted across urban and rural areas, leading to the neutralization of over 1,000 criminal organization members. Aerial surveillance played a key role, with drones accumulating nearly 47,000 hours of flight time.

Yerlikaya reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to combating terror groups like FETÖ and ISIS. He highlighted over 5,500 operations against FETÖ, resulting in nearly 1,600 arrests. Similarly, over 1,600 operations targeted ISIS, leading to the apprehension of over 900 individuals. Additionally, authorities seized over 52 million liras intended to fund terrorist activities.
