The project, estimated at 72 million Afghanis, aims to provide improved learning environments for students across the province.

Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Hamidi, the head of the Logar Department of Education, confirmed to BNA that construction work has commenced on these school buildings in the provincial capital of Pul-e-Alam and Mohammad Agha district. Funding for the project is provided by UNICEF, marking a collaborative effort to enhance educational facilities in Logar.

Hamidi emphasized that the construction of these buildings will benefit approximately 10,000 students by providing them with structured learning environments conducive to academic success.

Currently, the Logar Department of Education oversees a total of 282 schools across the center and districts of the province. However, 82 of these schools still lack proper buildings, underscoring the urgent need for infrastructure development in the education sector.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to improve access to quality education in Logar Province and underscores the importance of partnerships between local authorities and international organizations to address educational challenges in Afghanistan. (ILKHA)
