The meeting will focus on addressing the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The extraordinary gathering of D-8 foreign ministers carries significant weight as member countries seek to present a unified front against Israel's military actions in Gaza.

Led by Turkey, the session aims to demonstrate solidarity and support for the Palestinian cause, particularly amidst Israel's relentless attacks on the enclave since October 7 last year.

Israel initiated its genocidal aggression against Gaza following heightened tensions triggered by Hamas's retaliatory actions against Israeli aggression towards Palestinians. The aggression has resulted in a dire humanitarian crisis, with Israel imposing a harsh blockade on Gaza, severely restricting access to essential resources for its population of over two million.

The D-8 session underscores the international community's efforts to address the escalating violence and advocate for a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. (ILKHA)
