Adele Khodr, UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, addressed the crisis on her X social media account, emphasizing the severe impact on Gaza's youngest residents.

“Over the past ten days alone, we have seen images of burned children across different areas of #Rafah, including the horrific overnight attack on a school sheltering civilians in Al Nuserat camp,” Khodr stated.

“Yet, these are just the last 10 days. The reality is that children in #Gaza have been living this nightmare of relentless attacks for the past 8 months, leaving a trail of devastation and unimaginable suffering and pain. This is a stark reminder that there is no safe place for children in Gaza. More children will continue to be killed under the world’s watch if immediate action is not taken to stop the violence,” she added.

UNICEF continues to call for urgent measures to protect Gaza’s children and put an end to the violence that has shattered their lives. The situation remains critical, and the world must act swiftly to ensure the safety and well-being of these innocent victims.  (ILKHA)
