Uraloğlu explained that SIS was launched in 2011 in response to concerns about online safety, particularly regarding inappropriate content for children. The service offers free protection to subscribers upon request, blocking access to websites containing violence, hate speech, illegal activities, and more.

The Minister emphasized SIS's commitment to protecting children and families.  He highlighted that 99.5% of subscribers are families, demonstrating the high demand for this service.

Uraloğlu assured users that SIS is constantly being improved based on user feedback and suggestions. This ensures the service remains effective in addressing evolving online threats.

The Minister clarified that SIS operates within the legal framework established by the Turkish Constitution and Electronic Communication Law. These regulations prioritize the protection of families and children online, while also ensuring consumer rights.

SIS offers two profile options: Child and Family. Subscribers can choose the appropriate profile and report any issues they encounter while browsing the internet.

This news indicates a significant number of Turkish internet users prioritizing online safety, particularly for children. The Minister's comments assure continued development and improvement of SIS to meet the evolving needs of its users. (ILKHA)
