The move comes amid escalating tensions in the region.  Britain, alongside the United States, had deployed warships to the Red Sea and conducted operations aimed at disrupting a blockade imposed by Yemeni forces.

However, Yemeni sources claim these actions led to an expansion of the blockade and targeted attacks on US and British vessels.

The British Ministry of Defence confirmed the withdrawal of the destroyer HMS Diamond from the Red Sea. They downplayed the strategic significance, stating it would be replaced by the HMS Duncan.

However, Yemeni sources suggest the decision reflects growing concerns about British involvement in the US-led coalition supporting Israeli occupation forces. (ILKHA)
