The visit is in response to an invitation from Spain, following its decision to recognize the State of Palestine.

According to the ministry's press release, Fidan will be accompanied by members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League Contact Group on Gaza.

The delegation's visit aims to discuss efforts to establish a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and to encourage more countries to recognize the State of Palestine based on a two-state solution.

The meetings in Madrid are expected to focus on diplomatic strategies and initiatives to support the peace process in Gaza, reinforcing international recognition of Palestinian statehood.

This visit underscores Türkiye's commitment to working with international partners to promote stability and peace in the region. (ILKHA)
