Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to visit Brussels for Palestine meetings

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has announced that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Brussels on May 26, 2024, to participate in high-level meetings concerning Palestine.

The discussions will center on recent developments and the humanitarian situation in Gaza, as well as efforts to encourage broader international recognition of the State of Palestine.

In a press release, the ministry stated: “Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, will visit Brussels on 26 May 2024 to participate in meetings on Palestine. The meetings will focus on the latest developments and humanitarian situation in Gaza, as well as efforts to encourage more countries to recognise the State of Palestine.”

Additionally, the ministry indicated that Minister Fidan will hold several bilateral meetings during his visit. These discussions are expected to cover a range of topics, furthering Türkiye's diplomatic engagements in the region.

Minister Fidan's visit underscores Türkiye's ongoing commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and supporting the Palestinian cause on the international stage. (ILKHA)
