During his time in the British capital, Halabi engaged in various meetings aimed at strengthening educational partnerships and addressing challenges in the sector.

One notable meeting took place between Minister Halabi and Dr. Alan Hama Saeed, the Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Accompanied by senior ministry officials and advisors, the Lebanese delegation discussed educational and university relations between Lebanon and Kurdistan. Both ministers explored ways to enhance cooperation and exchange between educational institutions in their respective regions. Additionally, they revisited a memorandum of understanding signed in previous years, agreeing to update and modernize it to better meet current needs.

Furthermore, Minister Halabi received an invitation from his Kurdistan counterpart to attend an educational conference scheduled to take place between August 1st and 4th. This invitation underscores the commitment of both regions to fostering collaboration and dialogue in the field of education.

On the sidelines of the World Education Forum, Minister Halabi and his delegation met with Rob Jenkins, the Global Director of Education at UNICEF. Discussions centered on the educational challenges facing Lebanon, particularly concerning the high costs of living and education. These meetings highlight Lebanon's efforts to address pressing issues in the education sector and to forge meaningful partnerships with international organizations and neighboring regions. (ILKHA)
