UAE delivers humanitarian aid to Gaza via US-built port

This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the US, South Cyprus, the United Nations, and international donors, according to the Emirates News Agency.

The latest shipment included 252 tonnes of humanitarian relief supplies, which were unloaded at UN warehouses in Deir al-Balah. These supplies are now awaiting distribution to the Palestinians who are in the most urgent need.

This shipment is part of a larger effort by the UAE, which has transported over 32,000 tonnes of critical humanitarian supplies to Gaza. These supplies, which include medical equipment, food, and other relief items, have been delivered via 1,243 vehicles, 260 aircraft, and 49 airdrops.

Despite warnings from international humanitarian organizations, the Rafah Border Crossing has been closed for 13 days, and the Kerem Shalom border crossing has been closed for 14 days by the Israeli occupation regime. These closures have severely restricted the flow of aid and brought the Gaza Strip to the brink of famine.

The UAE's continued efforts aim to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, providing much-needed relief to the population amidst ongoing conflict and blockades. (ILKHA)
