The Ministry’s statement further highlighted the disturbing fact that 60 cemeteries across the Gaza Strip were targeted, leading to the desecration of more than 1,000 graves. The Ministry condemned these actions, calling them a blatant disregard for the sanctity of the deceased.
In addition to the destruction of religious sites and cemeteries, 15 buildings belonging to the Ministry were also demolished. This includes the Ministry’s headquarters in Gaza, the Radio Quran station, the Endowments Directorate in Khan Younis, and the Centre for Cultural and Manuscript Works.
The Ministry has called upon the international community, as well as Islamic institutions worldwide, to urgently intervene. They urge these bodies to take action to halt the occupation forces’ attacks, which are targeting innocent civilians and places of worship in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry’s statement ended with a plea for unity and support from the free people of the world in their struggle against these devastating attacks. (ILKHA)
