Turkish coast guard rescues migrants pushed back by Greece

The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 21 irregular migrants, including 4 children, off the coast of Izmir after they were allegedly pushed back into Turkish waters by Greek forces.

The migrants were found in a rubber boat near the Foça district. They were brought to shore and transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management after processing.

In a separate operation, the Coast Guard intercepted another rubber boat carrying 45 irregular migrants, including 18 children, off the coast of Çeşme district.

These migrants were also taken into custody and will undergo processing by the Directorate of Migration Management. (ILKHA)
