In a statement posted on social media platform X, the agency highlighted that the evacuation orders target central Rafah and Jabalia in northern Gaza. Around 150,000 people have already fled Rafah since Monday, seeking safety, with no secure havens available in the enclave.

Earlier today, the Israeli army issued additional evacuation orders for Rafah, citing forthcoming military operations against Hamas militants in these areas.

UNRWA stressed that such decisions have tangible consequences for the local population, particularly children, underscoring the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Meanwhile, according to the health authorities, the death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza has reached 34,971. In the past 24 hours alone, 28 Palestinians were killed and 69 others injured, bringing the total casualties to 78,641 since the conflict began on October 7, 2023. (ILKHA)
