Israeli intelligence chief resigns over October 7 failure

In the wake of the resounding failure, multiple officials within the Israeli Military Directorate have either resigned or been dismissed. Major General Haliva's resignation marks the latest in a series of departures from the embattled organization.

Haliva's resignation follows that of other high-ranking officials, including Brigadier General Amit Saar, head of the Research Division, who cited health reasons for his departure.
