Hope Caravan Foundation provides aid to over 5,000 families during Ramadan

The Hope Caravan Foundation (Umut Kervanı Vakfı), a renowned global aid organization, has publicly announced its in-kind and cash assistance activities in Diyarbakır during the holy month of Ramadan.

With the increasing number of distressed families worldwide, the foundation continues its mission to reach more families in need, backed by the support of philanthropists.

Abdürrahim Karadeniz, Deputy Chairman of The Hope Caravan Foundation in Diyarbakır, shared a statement regarding the activities carried out. He expressed deep concern for the Gazan brothers and sisters who have been under intense attacks for more than six months. "It is impossible not to be affected by the scenes of brutality," Karadeniz said. "Our hope is that these incidents will come to an end as soon as possible."

In addition to providing aid to Gaza, the foundation is also committed to alleviating the troubles of needy families within the province's borders.

During the month of Ramadan, the foundation provided significant aid both domestically and internationally. "In our province of Diyarbakır, cash assistance totaling 448,500 TL was provided to 277 families, food aid packages totaling 1,837,500 TL were distributed to 2,450 families, clothing worth 370,000 TL was provided to 370 children, 30,000 TL worth of holiday sweets were distributed to 100 families, cleaning materials worth 19,600 TL were provided to 25 families, and shopping card aid totaling 420,000 TL was provided to 140 families," Karadeniz reported.

Furthermore, with the support of philanthropists, the foundation covered iftar dinner expenses totaling 533,770 TL for 2,304 Palestinians enduring difficult times under the genocide and massacre of the occupying regime for the past six months. In total, 5,296 families, including 370 children, received assistance amounting to 3,659,370 TL during the month of Ramadan.

Karadeniz expressed gratitude to the philanthropists, members, volunteers, and women's commissions who supported these aid efforts. "We extend our separate thanks to those who did not leave us alone in these aid efforts. May God accept their good deeds," he said. He emphasized that the foundation's aid efforts are not limited to the month of Ramadan but continue regularly every month. (ILKHA)
